Known to represent the positive principle in nature (yin/yang), the sun and the masculine side of things, this charming and heartwarming big fat sheep connotes big fortune, happiness and prosperity. Plated in gold, it stands elegantly on a pile of treasures with its head rising upwards handsomely and its back saddled beautifully and embellished with an auspicious red pearl. Inspired by the need to activate its true potential and power, a shy energy infused tag is hidden under an exquisite velvet woven solid stand. The fat fortune sheep is a popular new year motif for ushering renewal and change. According to I-Ching, it is linked to peace, filial piety, prosperity, good fortune and success. Obedient and sentimental in nature, it promises fame, wealth gains and strengthening of luck to its owners.

Note: This item is energy infused. Item comes with certificate of authenticity.

The sheep (or goat or ram) is one of the twelve animals of the chinese zodiac system. Its homophone (yang) is very auspicious, referring to the masculine or positive principle in nature (yin/yang). It also means the sun. The sheep was an important animal in ancient China, especially to the nomads to whom it provided both food and wool. Bronze vessels in the shape of sheeps or more typically sheep heads, appear frequently in the late Shang dynasty and sheeps were one of the forms carved in precious jade dating back to the Liang Dynasty. Sheeps are one of the "earliest instances of pictorial pun as they can be traced to the Han dynasty when the concept of "auspiciousness" or "fortune omen" (xiang) was commonly represented by the image of a sheep because they were considered as homophonic at that time.
